From their base in Alloa, Scotland, Gallery of Stolen Dogs is making waves with their unique blend of neo-psychedelic rock and post-punk edge. Comprised of seasoned musicians with roots in various gen-x indie bands, they're set to release their debut album, "I need to let it ride now," on 17th May 2025.

Drawing influences from their rich history in the underground music scene, Gallery of Stolen Dogs has crafted a sound that is both nostalgic and innovative. Their music is a seamless fusion of sound which draws from influences including Nuggets-era psychedelic rock, the post-punk explosion and the underground scene that spawned grunge and stoner rock.
Their lyrics explore the life-experience, environmental grief, politics, sexuality and the glorious mess of the latch-key generation finding themselves in late stage capitalism.
Our lyrics talk about the things that are important to us, or that inform how we're seeing the world around us. One of Deik's lyrics is "I Want You To Know (Entitlement)". It addresses the attitudes associated with the Tate brothers, the misogynist influencers who seem to have such a hold on many young boys. "There's always a danger in writing about that sort of thing from a first person perspective in a song. There's the danger that listeners think the views being portrayed are the views of the singer. Like Johnny Cash was the one who shot a man in Reno, instead of being the narrator. But it [the Tates, and men's attitudes towards women] was just something that I wanted to talk about. Men need to be honest and address these things"
The feel of the song harks back to the pub rock of the 70s, which seemed to fit so well with the message of the lyrics. "It's one of the things we're proud of: how well Steve's lyrics or my lyrics go so well with the music Mackie brings in. What we do is a whole-band thing. We all bring something, and we've all known each other so long it just seems to work. We're having fun. I think you can hear that".
Gallery of Stolen Dogs is poised to make their impact on the indie landscape. Keep an eye out for them as they set out to conquer stages and captivate audiences.
